THE 8 MAN SHOOTOUT is a fast-paced, high-octane tournament designed to keep you on the edge of your seat! Featuring 8 fierce competitors, this knockout-format competition is all about aggression, speed, and punch volume.

With quarterfinals, semifinals and the final all lasting 4 x 1-minute rounds, every second counts. Boxers are rewarded for throwing punches in bunches and bringing the fight to their opponent. Knockouts are celebrated with bonuses.

Scoring is powered by an innovative new system called Corner.

FAQ’s

  • Match Structure

    Quarterfinals and Semifinals: 4 rounds of 1 minute each.

    Final: 4 rounds of 1 minute each.

  • Part Data Driven

    Punch Counter: computer scoring via wearable sensors powered by Corner. Boxer with the most punches thrown and connected across the whole fight is awarded bonus points

    Part Human Judges

    Aggression: Points awarded for initiating exchanges and pressing the action.

    Knockdowns: Extra points for each knockdown, incentivising decisive action.

    Penalties: Deduction for excessive clinching or passive tactics.

  • Knockout Bonus: A financial reward for winning via knockout.

    Performance Bonus: Awarded to the boxer with the highest punch count in a single match at the end of the tournament.

  • In case of a draw, the winner will be determined by punch count over the match.

  • 1-minute rest between rounds to maintain high energy and recovery.

  • Effective Aggression - 5 Points per Round

    Punch Volume - 5 points per round

    Punches Connected - 5 Points per Round

    Power Punches Connected - 5 points per round

    Knockdowns - 5 Points per Knockdown

    Penalty Deductions - 1 Point for each (no limit)

  • Awarded to the boxer who consistently and most successfully presses the action and controls the pace.

  • As decided by the computer scoring 

  • As determined by AI on who has landed the most clean, impactful punches to the head or body with the knuckle part of the glove.

  • 1 Point per instance of excessive clinching, unsportsmanlike behaviour and passive tactics as well as any fouls in the standard version of the Queensbury rules at the discretion of the judges.

  • Quarter-Final - £75

    Semi FInal - £150

    Runner-Up - £250

    Knockout Win - £50

    Most Punches in a single match - £100

  • All entrants must sell at least 1 table of 10 guests at a cost of £450
